Come Visit the Peace & Justice Center
The Board of Directors recently undertook a training on how to do what we do better. Turns out we’ve been doing a lot right and now, thanks to this training, we’ll be an even more efficient Board for the Peace & Justice Center.

One way we’re getting more inclusive is by growing. In the last issues of the Peace Press you were introduced to Kim and Fran. In this issue we’d like to welcome our newest and youngest member Erin Latham-Ponneck to the Board. Erin has been donating her services as a bookkeeper and for this we thank her. Now she’ll be
adding her expertise to the Board.

Lots has been happening at the Center with a wide array of organizations using the facility for evening meetings. We’re open Monday to Friday 1 to 4 pm, and we have two new volunteers staffing on Wednesday and Friday. On Wednesday you’ll be greeted by Ailsa Rothman, an energetic young woman adding her warmth to the PJC. On Fridays you’ll meet Rodger Doncaster who is constantly looking for ways to improve the Center’s interior.  Both new members are welcomed to our staffing crew of Larry, Rebel and George.

Finally, Winterblast is coming. This lovely family friendly street party is a celebration of light with music, food and displays from the many contributors of this, the art district. The Peace and Justice Center will be open and welcoming folks to come in and see what we have to offer. We’ll have a band as well.

The Peace & Justice Center is brimming with activity. Come check things out. Chances are that you’ll find something that appeals to you. Enjoy the magic of winter and please join us for Winterblast.
