Your Peace  & Justice  Center . has been New very active since Trump launched his war against America. New organizations  have joined us including Indivisible Sonoma, a literary group and people who want to sing. We also play host to the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the Democratic Socialists of America, conversations around the fire, and others.

There is a large coalition of many organizations determined to stop the fascism coming out of D.C. We all agree that this profound change in America needs to be challenged and we’re willing to work to make this happen. Events are being planned for several days in early May. To receive the weekly Social Justice e-newsletter, go to: PJCsoco.org Details will be posted as they develop. We have many new members, with more joining daily. Many individuals are angered at what’s happening and want to do something about it. We are more than happy to hook people up with organizations that can help them fulfill their needs. Let’s face it, we are much more effective when we work with others.

We have also begun a Bluesky page. Here’s the link: https://bsky.app/profile/pjcsoco.org This is an alternative to Zuckerberg’s Facebook. While we are still on Facebook, we’re planning on fadingour presence there as more people go to Bluesky. Until then our goal is to disseminate information so we’re keeping our Facebook page, for now.

Many of our friends and neighbors are fearful of ICE (immigration and Customs Enforcement) abducting and deporting them. To aid these folks we have information and links to the North Bay Organizing Project’s Rapid Response Network.
There are also “know your rights” teach-ins coming up at the center. While the abductions and deportations are starting with the immigrant community it is spreading to others. Already Palestine justice folks are being arrested and sent to the new Gitmo in El Salvador. We are needed now more than ever. It’s important that we organize, support one another and act. Your Peace & Justice Center offers sanctuary.

If you want to learn what’s coming up your best bet is to go to https://www.pjcsoco.org and read the e-blast. This is where upcoming actions are posted. There are organizing opportunities educational links and actions there. Sometimes there is a demonstration or picket every day. Find one that fits you and jump in. You have nothing to lose but your chains.
