Event - Let's Talk about Palestine and Israel!

Thursday, October 26, 6:30-8 pm PST, FREE

The outbreak of violence in Israel and Gaza has brought strong reactions that we are all struggling with. The shock and horror of it is a lot to process and it can help to do that with others.  We won’t attempt to give the history and context as there are many books and videos which do this better than we could do in a single evening.  Instead, this dialogue will focus on sharing feelings and thoughts with each other.  We won’t attempt to find one story or a single point of view, but we will listen carefully and offer a community forum to everyone in the room.

This ongoing conflict is a matter of life and death so we know emotions can run high.  Any honest conversation about Palestine and Israel is likely to be uncomfortable and triggering.  We ask you to participate with an open heart and mind.  We will be quick to act if anyone engages in name calling, debating and other rule violations of our communication guidelines and principles.

Racial Justice Allies of Sonoma County will be offering a “Let's Talk About Palestine and Israel” dialogue via Zoom on Thursday, Oct. 26th from 6:30-8:00pm/PST.  Please join us for a peaceful and supportive discussion.
To participate: please e-mail [email protected] to register and we will send you a Zoom link on the day of the dialogue. Invite your friends to join our virtual dialogue!
